Hello everyone, you can manipulate images and create slide shows in Lightroom. Burn it and ready to play in your DVD player. You can create flash gallery for your website as well, amazing!

Send us your best (9 or 12) photographs and we will feature you in our members area gallery.

PostSubject: Photo Folders   Fri Feb 20, 2009 11:50 pm

Hello
Have just finished putting pictures in two folders, in day, month and year order dating back to 2001, and have managed to make two catalogues for them in lightroom, and have put the catalogues inside the main folders, so that you take the cat with the pictures if you take them out on a external drive.
I have got to work out the auto download and auto back up to the right folders now,
I have been busy with the sailing clubs web sites keeping the frequency charts and other bits updated and corrected, Have had a look on here once or twice but nobody has had much to say, I will see how I get on with the auto stuff and get back to you if I get stuck, all the best for now

Hello TL

I am glad to hear that you are getting on well with Lightroom, creating catalogues are a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of how to create them they can help with organsing all your images. Re the auto download and backup, you will find that Lightroom will prompt you do back up the catalogues each time you open the program. By default Lightrrom will download all your images in to the "My Documents" folder, you are also able to download images to a seperate location at the same time. If you have any problem do not hesitste to post a question.

Regards

PostSubject: LightRoom using the Masking tool in the detail section   Fri Apr 17, 2009 10:40 pm

LightRoom using the Masking tool in the detail section. could you please run through the correct use of the masking tool with the alt key, does it work the same as levels where you hold down the alt key and slide along until you start to see the image?
